I bought a 2012 Toyota Camry brand new off the showroom floor and it's been headache after headache. In 2012/2013 I had to deal with a recall and it took a lot of fighting with the dealership to get the work done. I've always had my services done at a Toyota dealership and kept up with the oil changes as appropriate. My Toyota has started to consume oil to the point that I don't make it to 5,000 miles anymore before needing to add oil. My Toyota uses synthetic oil and should last between 8k-10k.. I've been under 5k for two years. The other week my car was sluggish and I pulled over to check the oil and it was bone dry. I started crying. It's so frustrating dealing with this. I'm definitely going to buy a new car but at this point scared to death to purchase another Toyota.
