Like Toyota had extended warranty for this issue to 8 years, but I got this issue just after warranty had expired. I go to service center every 4 months but I was not aware of issue before it broke down. I think service center should actively notify about such issues.

I guess Toyota is not what it used to be anymore. My Camry started to shudder very lightly when it got to 108,000km. Only happened at 70 km/h at low rpm. Yet, the shudder increased and now it's more noticeable. Also, it's shuddering at 40km/h at low rpm. I bought this car/make because it was bulletproof supposedly.

Have a 2013 Camry SE 6-speed automatic that had the same transmission "shudder" problem that many others have complained about, which sounds like it runs into the 2015 models from other complaints I've read here. Our Toyota dealer was great though and replaced the torque converter on our 2013 on their dime per recall, or maybe it was a Tech. Serv. Bulletin, and that fixed the problem.

That was done when the Camry had around 30,000-40,000 miles and we now have 217,000+ miles on it and never had another problem since then, seriously, other than normal wear of having to replace tires & brakes as expected. I've changed oil/filter about every 7,500 miles and changed the spark plugs and serpentine belt at about 154,000 miles "just because"...and at 217,000+ miles it's still going strong!

Test drove the new 8-speed Camry and a RAV4 Limited recently and was unfortunately not very impressed because of how "loud" the Camry was, and the remote start "shut-off" feature when you open the door (supposedly for safety) on the RAV4 is totally ridiculous. So, we plan to keep and run the 2013 as long as we can, or will look at buying a used pre-2018 Toyota (i.e., with the 6-speed tranny).

Dealership had the vehicle for over a month stating they were waiting on the Warranty company to purchase and send the part to the dealer. Gave me a 6 month 6,000 mile warranty in which I disputed and they did not comply with my request.

Trusting the toyota camry 2013 was a disappointment. I thought I was buying reliable car, that's not the case with this model. I believe they should have recall the drivetrain, the average cost is about 3,000 to get it done. in the beginning they used to make good cars but like everybody else greed took over quality. it's mostly plastic and bad engineering. lesson learned, stay away from this car.

OK so my husband and I bought the car in 2014 on a trade in from a Toyota dealer. We were told by multiple people that our warranty would be covered overseas. So we said great and traded in our GMC Yukon for the Toyota Camry. We were so happy with our decision that we have a small car for moving to Italy and we were really happy that the original warranty and the extra warranty we bought would cover any problems. Well in about March or April of 2015 there was a limited recall on my car. Not a problem, we were still in the states and took it to the dealer for them to fix the transmission shaking problem. They said they just had to do an update to the computer and everything should be fine. They also said that if it doesn't fix the problem they would need to fix the transmission. Well we let them do the update then we shipped the car to Italy. when the car got to Italy and we started to drive it we found out that the shake was still there and took it to the nearest Toyota dealer here in Italy. Come to find out we got lied to multiple times and all the money we spent on warranties to make sure my car would be covered and we have no problems, doesn't work overseas. Now I have a car that can drive both manual and automatic and I cant use the automatic side because it shakes at all speeds and I can't get on the interstate here because I cant go over 65 without my car feeling like it is going to shake to pieces. No dealer will touch my car over here because they don't have the information on American spec cars. I just want my car fixed and to feel safe driving it with my kids in the car. the problem is not a once in a while occurring thing it is an everyday occurrence and I don't feel safe driving it with my two small children.

I love the car but it shakes while am doing 40 to 45 miles per hour and it won't stop until I let go the accelerator pedal. My car only has 58541 and really don't no why would this new car is acting like this. Toyotas are known for good reputation but after this issue I don't think I can go with Toyota. I've been to the dealership and I was told that they drove it everything seems to be fine. I checked online other people with Camrys all over are having the same issue. I think there should be a recall on this car. Thanks Toyota.
