I just had a new transmission placed in the vehicle in Jan 2020 which was under warranty with an extended warranty at the time. I was given a 6 month 6,000 mile warranty vehicle which was at 145k when the transmission was replaced in Jan. By March the vehicle was at 152k and the transmission went out again, this time check engine light and traction light came on.
Went back to dealership - the warranty company denied the replacement of transmission, stating it was 231 miles over the warranty limit of 6,000 miles. This is now at the cost of the consumer. Clearly this year make and model has had complaints about the transmission and this should be under a recall. Costs too much time and money to the consumer. I have had other Toyota Camry's before and never had issues with them.
