The touch screen needed to pair a bluetooth device for hands free usage does not work. It is not responsive to touch in any way, preventing users from pairing devices. From the looks of online forums, this is a pervasive problem for this make/model. If handsfree use is required in my state, this malfunction should be covered by warranty / toyota recall. The entire device is inoperable.
The radio/navigation system in my vehicle malfunctioned during a self starting update. My screen now stays in reboot mode. The problem is, the screen stays at full brightness whenever the car is on at night I can-€™t see very well to drive. The other night I was coming home with me and my kids in the car and i hit the ditch trying to turn because the screen was so bright it impaired my vision. The screen never goes off as long as the car is running and there is way to adjust the brightness.
Car has been vibrating anytime it goes above 40-45 mph. Mechanic recommended to change the cv axle which I did and I still have same problem. On highways it shakes so much that sometimes it feels like I may loose control of my steering wheel. There's a knocking sound while going on bumps and speed breakers. Check engine light came twice and it was reset by saying its false positive.
The touchscreen on the audio head unit does not function properly. I cannot pair a phone with the car's audio system because the on-screen buttons are unresponsive. This is a safety issue. I cannot use hands-free calling because I cannot pair a phone with the audio system. I started noticing issues with the touchscreen in 2018, but I was able to work around the issue. In 2020, however, I can no longer pair mobile devices to the audio system. Toyota is aware of this issue. It is widespread among several vehicle models from 2012-2014.

My vehicle-€™s radio buttons/screen no longer function along with the buttons on my steering wheel. This creates a problem as I use the hand free option on many occasions. It-€™s come to my attention I am not the only person this has happened to.
My door lock actuators have failed. It started with the passenger side front then driver side now all have failed making it impossible to lock or unlock car except by manually doing it. This is inconvenient and makes the car hardly accessible except using key to manually open driver side
I have a 2014 Toyota Camry a while ago the actuator of the driver's door began to fail but now there are 2 more doors that do not work and I have 3 of the 4 doors that do not work
I was hung up upon by a representative of service advocacy illedgely at manufacturers headquarters when advocating problems with manufacturers representatives on phone and /or in person about vehicle and/or maintenance, warranty concerns from 11/30 to approximately 2.00pm, in general.terms by its staffabroad and here and future world wide. But not including more issues with vehicle and/or treatment of representatives of vehicle. The question response to answer under "note" is unknown. Total disatisfaction with manufacturer and worldwide dealerships. These and possibly more incidents happened prior to 11/31/20.
My 2014 Toyota Camry causes eye irritation and burning. Mostly likely this is due to a faulty HVAC system and/or compartment seals that could be channeling trace amounts of exhaust fumes into the passenger compartment. I have taken the car to the local Toyota dealer who says there is nothing wrong with the car. This happens every single time I drive the car. This does not happen when I drive my other car, I.e. my eyes aren't the problem. I am worried that I may be inhaling something toxic and am absolutely terrified about taking the car on long drives.
Drivers seat where the controls are located covering plastic broke and not able to snap back in place. Also notice this on my mothers 2015 Camry as well.
When I first accelerate from a stopped position & accelerate the vehicle lags and hesitates before it will move forward. I have almost gotten hit by another vehicle more than once because the car wouldn't move fast enough to cut across traffic. September 1, 2017 was the first date I drove the vehicle on the road but it happens to this date as I'm accelerating.
I attempted to stop my vehicle at the end of a driveway when I saw fast approaching cross traffic. My engine began racing and my brakes failed, carrying my vehicle about 20 feet into the intersection as I helplessly pressed down on the brake pedal. Fast approaching vehicles barely missed me. I barely escaped violent death.
Touchscreen is partially inoperative due to faulty calibration. Calibration started changing one year after purchase. Hasn't been a factor because I have been using the same phone. Recently purchased a new phone and cannot pair with the system. I do not have the abilty to use the phone via hands-free operation while driving this vehicle. This is definitely a safety issue. This defect is very common. Toyota has issued a technical service bulletin about it (tsb 0172-16). Toyota told me that the whole radio touchscreen assembly needs to be replaced. Iphone 11 will not sync with bluetooth in Camry. Apple and Toyota blame each other but it has worked perfectly on my previous iphones. Creates serious safety issue due to no handsfree availability.
The driver door wont unlock with the remote key. It will only manually lock/unlock. The passenger door, and 2 back doors, and the trunk will open with the remote key. But not the driver door.
The touchscreen doesn't work on the lower part of the screen. Some features are only available through the touchscreen. I am unable to remove paired cellphones to add newer phones because of this.
