the left front suspension lower arm making weird noises while driving. Looks like it is related to open recall on same model "t he left front suspension lower arm may have an improperly manufactured bolt hole where it connects to the ball joint." But my vehicle in not included in open recall - called up toyota customer service and they asked me to go thru NHTSA.

Starting in 2023, around 80,000 miles, my 2014 Toyota Camry Hybrid has started pulling to either side under braking. I replaced the pads & rotors at my local Toyota dealer in September and it actually made the problem worse. November 22 of this year, the master technician at my dealership found multiple lower suspension bolts loose. They re-torqued everything to spec and the issue has not been resolved. I have reached out to Toyota corporate and informed them of the issue. Parts have been ordered for a separate Customer Support Program to fix the brake booster system, which makes noise in the pedal, but is independent of this complaint. We will be reinspecting in greater detail to provide information to Toyota.

I have checked and haven't see any recalls for this issue. and i've paid several hundred dollars to fix these issues several time The Sway Bars from Both side of my suspension system have failed twice, as in coming loose and you can hear it clanking loosely 1. had left side it fixed in or 2016/2017 2. had right side fixed in 2020 3. Now having the same issue, but not sure which one it is, because i haven't had time take it to a repair shop again. I am sure my car 2014 model VIN # isn't the only one that has had or is having this issue. I don't have all this money to keep getting this fixed, it's a defect somewhere with the front end of this model year car. Its like whatever is holding this up, there is something wrong with that mechanism.

The contact owns a 2014 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at AAA for an inspection, the technician informed her that the control arm had detached from the ball joint. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

While driving at highway speeds the steering seems to "stick" a little. I would explain it as the front end seems to pull from side to side, and then the drive wheels seen to stick so you have to fight with the steering wheel to get the vehicle to maintain lane travel. The dash lights came on that same night when this started. Maintenance req, airbag, seatbelt, battery, brake, low tire pressure, and traction Control lights all came on. They remain on and have not gone off.

Complete replacement required of both rear wheel bearings, backing plates, brake calipers, pads and rotors, with recommended replacement of tires, on a vehicle with less than 52,000 miles. Because the vehicle is out of warranty, the initial repair estimate was almost $4000. The dealer, however, agreed to repair for about $2500 (pass through cost of parts). This matter came to light upon hearing a 'screeching' noise when the vehicle was moving - the screeching noise suggesting a wheel bearing was failing. Manufacturer alleges replacement is needed due to exposure of these parts to road salt. However, I have owned numerous other vehicles that were exposed to road salt and never experienced such problems. Contrary to the manufacturer's allegation, I suspect a design or manufacturing defect in these parts. In fact, about the same time as the above problem, another like vehicle that we own (2017 model with about 15,000 miles) experienced a frozen rear brake caliper (allegedly for the same reason, namely, expose to road salt) that is being replaced under warranty.

My car developed a vibration in the front end. This occurred especially when turning. I brought it to a mechanic for repair and was told that the front suspension was very near to coming apart - which would have caused a loss of control of the car. This seams very similar to the issue covered under NHTSA recall notice 14V715000, however my VIN is not included in the scope of that recall so perhaps that needs to be expanded.

At 59000 miles the transmission torque converter was replaced.shortly after that I noticed the car seems to be all over the road. This has gotten much worst.specially on windy days. Can not take a exit or change lanes with out feeling like the rear end is going to break free. If on the highway and road comes into a curve feels like your going to loose control. I've had several repair shops look at this car. They drove it and experienced it. Wast told how do you drive that car. Contacted Toyota several times do have a file number. Requesting to meet a rep at anylocal dealer to test drive this car. Was told they don't do that. Was told to take it back to dealer who did transmission if related repair under warranty. If not I'm liable for diagnosis charges.I refused.also note that I'm on set number 4 of tires 2 sets of Michelin and set of snows.ive be at replaced tires on any car like this car. I have found several other similar complaints. Please reference NHTSA I'd #10966229 some E needs to look into this before someone gets hurt or worst.

Since we purchases this car in 2014, we have experienced the gas pedal being pushed to the floor and the car not moving. The Toyota service department says we had our foot on the brake and gas pedal at the same time. Which is not true. All times the auto was in motion and we stepped on the gas to get up to highway speed. 2nd. The driver side rights rough, and when a pot hole is hit with the left wheel it sounds like metal hitting metal. When going into a right turn 65-75 mph the auto feels like it is skipping off the road, to a point it does not feel safe. We have records from Toyota service department, going back to Oct. 2014. We appreciate what you can do. [xxx], [xxx], E-mail [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Car feels very sluggish like somebody is breaking all the time when accelerating it does not shift gears correctly. And feels like it is going to stall at times. I told them since the day I got the vehicle brand new off the lot that I felt this I only know what this feels like due to an issue I had my last car which was a Nissan armada pathfinder 2004.

I filed several complaints about the tires bouncing and excessive vibration coming from the front end of the vehicle. I was told by the dealer that it was a tire problem, and that I should try 40 lbs. Of air instead of the recommended 35 lbs. I contacted a local Bridgestone dealer and was told not to exceed the recommended pressure. The Toyota dealer acknowledged there were a lot of similar complaints and that it was the fault of the tires, . I have 12,000 miles on the car and the front tires are worn out and Toyota is refusing to de anything. I believe the problem is caused by the ball joints or front end suspension, but can't get anywhere with Toyota. If it's an ongoing tire problem as the dealer says why hasn't it been addressed. If it is a manufacturing defect why hasn't it been addressed. At 50 miles an hour the tires start to bounce and shimmy and the vibration can be felt in the steering wheel. The car feels unsafe at highway speeds.

I have had a persistent noise in the left front end of this vehicle since shortly after purchasing it. I had to the dealer on 7/3/14 (had been hearing it for some time by then) but they said they could not hear anything. It has gotten worse since then and I do plan to take it back to the dealer again. I did notice that there is an open recall (NHTSA campaign number: 14V715000) for this year/make/model for a possible lower arm malfunction, although my VIN does not appear to be included in it at this time. So I just want to get this noted, via this complaint.

Gas pedal on occasion fails to move car forward, when it does the auto jumps forward. There is no pattern to this failure. Auto feels like it does not have any suspension. When driving on highway at posted speed limits, auto bounces around turns as if it was going over small speed bumps in the road. We travel on a state highway and every imperfection is felt by all passengers, and can be seen in vibrations noticed in the steering wheel. The dealer has replaced the tires, but, this has not solved the problem, I was told by this dealer there is a problem with the auto, however, we had to leave this dealership before further action could be taken. Our new local dealer can not find anything wrong, or says there is nothing wrong.
