I really enjoyed the top storage space hidden under the lid of the armrest / center console in my 2003 Camry, but when it comes to 2016 Camry, this storage is gone, instead, they make the lid the way that it can be moved forward a little bit. I guess the purpose is for better arm support, but after I tried it out myself, I don't think my right arm needs extra rest or support during driving, one the contrary, this forwarded armrest could limit the movement of the arm. In summary, regarding the armrest / center console in a 2016 Camry, they removed a useful feature and added an useless one.
