I own a 2016 Toyota Camry, in line four cylinder. The radiator has a plastic shroud with metal cooling units. So the radiator is metal connected to plastic. The radiator developed a leak. The radiator split between the plastic and the metal, right at the top on the inside. No marks on the radiator and no indication that anything hit the radiator as the leak was right next to the engine block so nothing hit the radiator.
Unfortunate pain in the ass as the leak was noticed when the vehicle went out of warranty. But the radiator appears to be of poor design, plastic attached to metal. The leak occurred right at the seam of the plastic and metal.
Has anyone else experienced radiator leaks with this plastic/metal designed radiator? Or did I just get the one built on Monday?
