The contact owns a 2017 Toyota Camry. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked in a parking bay with a small inclination, the shift gear was shifted into park, however, the shift gear did not function as intended. The contact's wife was exiting the vehicle, the vehicle rolled backward and over the contact-??s wife-??s feet. The paramedics arrived and the contact's wife was transported to the local hospital. The contact-??s wife sustained injuries to both feet and legs. The contact-??s wife was taken to several urgent care facilities for severe pain and physical therapy. The contact-??s wife had preexisting conditions; however, the contact-??s wife was unable to walk due to the injuries. In addition, the contact stated that the failure had occurred three times. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 53,032.
