This may be more of a dealership problem more than a car problem but needless to say it had me stuck with no car for way to long in the middle of the worst winter ever, 2015 in MA. The Highlander was parked in front of the Honda van because its terrible in the snow. We were trusting the Highlander that has a brand new transmission to get us were we need to go, it usually does. It would not shift out of park. We could move the shifter and this is after 2 new transmissions all ready! The transmission that came with the car failed. A pain but I decided it was worth the money to put a new transmission in a 9 yr old car that had just 60,000 miles. I bought it in 2010 with 22,000 miles. The replacement was shifting hard and leaking all over the place, so they said we will put a new one in for free. That one was extremely hard to shift in and out of park, now I'm pissed. So this is the worst part. They put an other brand new transmission 2 days before the big blizzard and the morning on the blizzard in shift and nothing happens. 2 days later it gets towed away and they finely get it right with the one that's now working fine.
