The contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph, the wheel bearing failed, causing the vehicle to emit a loud noise. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the two front wheel bearings needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and the manufacturer was made aware of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 59,998.
