Electric power steering shut off while driving. Had to pull over to the side of the road and turn off the vehicle for a long span of time to successfully reset. Happened in the past once before. Will contact GM to find put if its a recall issue, but no permanent fixes yet.

it is hard to turn the steering wheel and it clicks

2010 Chevy Cobalt is a horrible car! Over a month ago the problem started with the steering wheel. Each time I tried to turn it was hard and I had to force the wheel back to the next position. It also makes clicking noises when I turn. I don't really want to drive this car anymore. There seems to be a new problem popping up one after the other. My 14 year old son is nervous to drive with me and thinks the car will break down. The engine also revs high when I start it up-embarrassed to even start it up around people. Why does this car have to pull this when I only have 87,000 miles on it? The check engine light came on first because of a small hole in the gas tank tube, the ignition switch had a recall and needed to be changed, water collected inside my car in the change area you pull open so I needed to pay to have the outside of the car resealed, recently changed the electric power assist because of a recall, when the fan is turned on the motor clicks-needed to replace that since the blade was broken and it now makes that noise again, the seal is bad on left headlight and allowed water to collect inside (which will not pass state inspection that way), etc. DO NOT BUY A CHEVY COBALT! WORST CAR EVER!!!!!!
