THIS LOUD CLICKING NOISE IS EMBARRASSING AND DRIVES ME CRAZY.IT CLICKS EVEN WHEN THE CAR IS NOT ON AND I HAVE GOTTEN OUT AND WALKING AWAY AND EVERYONE IS LOOKING TO SEE WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON.IF I HAVE ONE OF THE SETTINGS ON IN THE CAR AND DECIDE TO CHANGE THE AC/HEATER AND WILL START TO CLICK AGAIN AFTER IT HAS DONE THIS ONCE I GET IN THE CAR{ WITHOUT EVEN TURNING IT ON SOMETIMES} FOR 2 MINUTES OR MORE. EVERYONE THAT HEARS IT SAYS IT HAPPENS A LOT WITH 2008 IMPALAS.IT REALLY SHOULD BE A RECALL.

When I push the heat temp controls from heat to ac, loud clicking noise for about 2 minutes or more, then stops. When moving the ac temp to heat like today 3-10-16, driver side got hot air, passenger side was still cold air blowing. Moved the passenger side back to ac then heat and clicking noise then heat came out. Need to have this control system replaced.

The ticking noise comes on every time any electrical item is used, opening the door mostly, but it stays on for awhile causing people to look when passing

The AC/Vent tries closing after it is shut off and makes a terrible sputtering noise like the old carburetors when the car was going to stall out. The AC still works but was told by a friend it is a motor and trying to close the vent. I even tried cleaning the windshield wells, etc to make sure nothing got stuck.

If I had my AC on when I shut my car off, it would make some ticking/clicking sound for about 2 minutes. The mechanic said it was the vent trying to close. It was embarrasing whenever I had to get out of my car in a busy parking lot.
