Two incidents, last two days ago. Leaving a parking slot and shifting from reverse to drive, applying drive pressure to throttle-pedal, car increased revs suddenly to full. Car shot ahead. Maybe 2-3 seconds to control, steering toward clear space and hitting the brake to sharp stop! That was the second incident. The first, a month earlier was similar only starting from a curb space without other cars ahead. Wiped out a trash bin and jumped curb. I am an elder driver with clean driving record of almost 80 years. My first instinct was to blame myself, although I couldn't figure out my mistake other than age. Scary! Second incident, maybe the car. Went online to this site.
