A/C actuator arm, 3rd one gone bad, first 2 were $175 to repair, this one almost $700 to repair & we cannot afford that... obviously this is a problem... why not a recall? rear window defroster wiring bad & it has quit working at all.

After starting my car and pressing on the accelerator car starts to jerk lights flicker and the message service traction control. The car will sometimes lose power. And does this while driving and will not accererate. I have changed the accerator petal positioning sensor as well as the battery. I do not feel safe driving this care whatsoever. And I've seen that many other Impala have had this issues. This has happened many times. I should not have to pay for repairs when this is clearly a manufacturer issue.

A traction control light comes on says it is reducing speed and the car will loose power and just die. This is so dangerous it has happened three times on the freeway with my kids in the. I received a special notice recall but when I took it in they said that since I was over the mileage they could not do the repair. The key is also stuck in the ignition and will not come out draining the batter, aaa has come out twice to switch the battery out for me. There is alwas a clicking sound coming from the dashboard.

I was driving on the freeway when the traction control light came on and message came across saying service traction control: Then check engine light started flashing rapidly at the same time. Follow by a very loud knocking noise from the engine. Then speed would not accelerate. Turned on flashers and coasted to the shoulder. Vehicle had troubles restarting and would not move. Steering wheel was hard to turn. Tries to die while idling after you get it to start. This is not the first time this has happened - but never on the freeway which was very scary. I went to the dealership who was already aware of the problem and said without a warranty I could not be helped I could pay $700 to fix it though. They could have caused a death with knowledge of this problem and how quickly you lose power I was lucky this time, but this should be a recall situation, unbelievable.

2009 Chevrolet Impala. March 2015 key failed to disengage from the ignition switch. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the shift park fuse needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. This after the recall for ignition switch. Also on May 27, 2016 car stared having loud clicking sound when air vent is set to air from outside or when off. Comes from passenger side dash board. Upon looking this issue up online many have stated a bad actuator being the cause. This definitely appears to be a manufacturer defect. Continues even when car is off since it switches directly back to that setting. Mileage is 78251

Loud clicking noise. I think it's somethings to deal with the air conditioner when the button is on the blue area. Actuator? the clicking sound would come and go. When I press the key button on my keychain. Pop the trunk and sometimes it just goes off through the the day when the car is off and park.

Only driver door unlocks with a key. Three other doors (driver and two rear doors) do not unlock electrically half of the time. It makes no difference if using controls on door or remote. This of course refers to being stationary. I believe this is a concern because it requires hopping over the front seats to unlock the rear doors, (which have the manual button at the rear of the door) making it even more difficult to reach. This is absolutely unsafe when there are child seats involved, or when a person must be quickly removed for any reason such as health issue, accident or danger. Climbing over the seat may not be an option if sick or injured people are in the front, but not necessarily removable. What if child locks prevent unlocking from the inside, and remote or door controls are the only way to unlock the rear doors? I have discovered that this is a prevalent and expensive to correct problem. My car (even though it is 9 years old) has less than 35,000 miles on it, and is in very fine shape otherwise, but has three doors with this problem. This is a faulty product! the complaints about this in the on-line community tell me this problem deserves being fixed by the manufacturer. It has happened to me at least 30 times, including today, and I have only had the car for a little over a year.

Impala

First issue occurred was "service traction control" then at the same time "engine power reduced". this occurred off and on for about two weeks. Had the part suggested replaced which was the throttle. Last weekend I was on the highway and the "starting disabled service throttle" message appeared and I lost all power. It was a dangerous situation because I was passing someone at the time in the left lane and then lost all steering, brakes, power, etc... I have researched this and many people with same car around same miles have experienced same issue. Something you may want to look into. I haven't driven my car since this occurred and I am having it towed to the dealer and they will look at it on Tuesday 1/26/16.

The first incident was in January. We had some bad weather and I thought it caused the problem. But recently, the car loss power again and would not accelerate. The losing power and the traction light came on.I mentioned this to the dealer when I went for the first recall for the ignition switch. The rep at chevyland in shreveport, la. Was disinterested. I also mentioned that there was a knocking noise in the dash. He advised all the Impala have that but it is not a safety issue. I now received the recall letter stating the very thing I advised the rep of. Now they are saying they may or may not cover it. This is a safety issue. If I am trying to accelerate and can not I could be hit by an 108-wheeler or anything could happen.

While driving approximately 65 mph, the traction control and engine power reduced warning indicators illuminated. After driving a few miles with these indicators on the disabling throttle warning came on and the vehicle stalled. I managed to coast over to the emergency lane and was able to restart the car after approximately 10 minutes. This had occurred on numerous occasions and have not been able to have it successfully repaired.

Going down highway go to adjust ac temp. And this loud tap tap tap tap starts sounding off in dash. Scared me caused me to jump and almost lose control of car. Took to Chevrolet dealer they replaced blend door actuator. I have had this replaced five differ. Times under warranty. 2015 81000 miles and it goes out again. I am now use to the sound and it does not scare me like before. I have talked to other Impala owners and thye have the exact same problem. They said it scared them too when it first happened.

Mine seems to have the same problems as most people. Traction control. Service airbag, reduced engine power lights come on. Car dies while driving once the lights come on. Doors don't unlock unless it's done manually. Messages flash on my readout over and over again. Tells me to check tire pressure on each tire even though the pressure is fine. Detects passenger in passenger seat when there is nothing in the passenger seat. Ridiculous! I am not ever buying another one!!
