When I open my car door or use the key fob, there is a loud thumping noise in the dashboard behind the a/c unit even when the engine isn't running. Sometimes it lasts a few minutes and sometimes it would only thump a few seconds. My car is at the dealer as I write this. They told me that it is the actuators.(there are 3) it seems they are familiar with this problem, but never notified owners.
