the air bag light kept coming on and off I took it back several times to the chevy dealer where I bought it but each time the light would go out. the mechanic asked if I put my cell phone or lap top on the passenger seat I told him I have my cell phone in my purse which I did put on the passenger seat he said that most likely caused the light to come on. that's when I first bought the used car with 115000 miles that went on for about 10 months or so and now the light is on all the time. my info center says service airbag soon so, when I took my car in for another recall that had to do with the power stearing I asked him if he could check it out he says its the module sensor needs replacing the cost $700 for the part and about $400 for the labor. I asked if it was dangerous and he said if I was in an accident the air bag might not deploy then I read online that metal fragments could come flying out I hope GM cares enough about it's customers to replace that sensor this problem could lead to alot of preventable deaths or tragedies
