Malibu LT 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 200,000 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

Bought car with 112k, lasted long until 290k

But between those two, the car went thru alternators, head lights, tie rods, sway bars, control arm, starter, bad ac, temp coolant control. Solenoid codes. A lot of electrical issues. It was a good car but not worth it on the amount of repairs needed

Malibu LS 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

the car has been acting like its bogged down for several months and while driving it sounds like im going to take off and fly away, there is a high pitched hum that gets louder based on tire rotation the faster i go the louder the noise gets, at first i thought it mike be the wheel bearings, but the sound doesn't change when i turn the steering wheel & there isn't a shake or shimmy either

Malibu LT 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 138,000 miles

I purchased the vehicle used in 2009, this issue has been present since day one. Since it was a 4 cylinder, I figured this was normal until one day it took off like it had the power of a larger engine etc. The lack of power is intermittent and has the potential to cause an accident. There have been times when the pedal was depressed more than half way to the floor and the car didn't respond at all...the acceleration doesn't improve until it reaches close to 25mph...It doesn't matter whether the AC is on or off.
