Timing chain guide and chain needed replacing at only 57750 miles. Fortunately this is covered by warranty, if not I would be pretty upset. The check engine light came on so I took it to a small town mechanic. The error code told him to replace the intake and exhaust actuator valves...which he did and this was not the problem. I took it to a dealership for the rest.
Another point, shouldn't the error code identify the actual problem? Those valves didn't need to be replaced and they had to start digging to find the issue...I bought this car new and maintained and treated it well. I probably won't buy GM again even though I really like this car.
