Driver side speed sensor lost a small piece of magnet in Aug. 2015 (about 60,000 miles on Malibu). Passenger side speed sensor failed in Dec. 2015 (about 77,000 miles). Repair shop said it was a lousy design, possibly crappy installation... not sure. Cost nearly $700 to fix. Dealer cost? Would rather not speculate. This should NEVER have happened. If GM does not help me with cost, I will be passing this information to everyone I know, and obviously never buying a GM product again.
