Malibu Premier 2.0L T

Car would not start remotely. I unlocked vehicle and attempted to crank it using the push to start. Nothing! Didn't even turnover. Lights came on, radio was working and everything. I was concerned it may be the battery or starter. The next day started right up remotely, but all the setting including radio and navigation presets were reset.

Does not read USB. Radio display does not change. XM radio only displayed channel 0, wouldn't tune but did change manually. But, still only displayed channel 0. WTF!!! I'm thinking the entertainment system is causing the problem. I had an issue with a previous GM product entertainment system.

Malibu L 1.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 34,000 miles

I was coming to a stop at a light and the car just completely shut off no power dash flashed a few times I put it in park, then I pushed the button to start it turned right back on with the stabilitrak light on. Took the car to the dealer a few time for this problem said my battery was completely charged so they charged it said battery was good. About a week later the same thing happened to me in an intersection. Took the car back to the dealer, said the battery was no good this time. I know its a matter of time before it happens again.

Malibu LX V6

This is a brand new car. 3 times now the car has randomly not started. Couldn't even unlock it. The first time the dealer told me it was probably the remotes. The second time I was told it was the battery. Now they tell me it's something about the ignition, which I fail to understand why that would prevent me from unlocking my car!
