In March 2019, when I was driving down the bust street when my car slowed down and wouldn't accelerate. They said it was a sensor in the pedal. It was fixed under warranty. Then in July the same thing happened, but this time the car wouldn't even start. Had 36 different codes pull up. Had to be towed.

Malibu LS 1.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5,000 miles

When you need the power the most stepping on the throttle the car, it will hesitate about 5-10 seconds before slowly attempting to pick up when reaching power, then shifts to a gear with no power, only to wait for power again! Will not attempt to pass any car in this way!

Update from Jun 17, 2019: Update since complaint: I found on the internet a update bulletin to fix some of the Malibu's problems 19-NA-032 took My car to a Dealer they agreed to update ECM and it Worked! Now my Car Runs Great it even shifts better Now I like My Malibu! if You have the same or Similar Problems you May Want to try this first.

Malibu LT 1.5L V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 4,000 miles

My 2018 Chevy Malibu I purchased with 7 miles on the odometer has a serious problem with acceleration. It seems to lose power no matter what type of fuel is in it. It makes highway driving dangerous because you can't merge fast enough to keep up with the traffic. Not to mention that I have a small child also who is constantly with me. The dealership has done absolutely nothing to fix or try to fix this issue. I also am losing gas mileage along with this issue. I average 18 mpg in the city and now it's like 14. They said that my ECU is reading fine and that their is nothing wrong, but you and I both know a lot of issues won't come up on a OBD2 reader because the issue doesn't make the service engine light come on and the best way to diagnose is to get your a@$ in the car and drive it to see what's going on, but they won't do it.
