Anti-lock brakes experienced failure on several occasions. One incident during rainy weather brakes locked up, causing collision due to loss of control, no deployment of airbags, resulted in injuries.
Rear suspension design permits rear wheels to become airborne when driving over small bumps. This causes momentary loss of control and erratic performance of the anti-lock braking system. I was unable to stop after going over a small bump and nearly hit the vehicle in front of me.
Whenever ABS brakes are applied vehicle fails to stop right away. Brake pedal goes to floor. Would have no prior warning. The problem is intermittent. Also, vehicle would shake and rattle. Took vehicle to dealership & mechanic replaced springs & rear shocks. Ordering new front hubs & headliner for brakes.

Anti-lock failed to engage. All four wheels locked up resulting in loss of steering control and crashed into ditch. The brakes have performed erratically since it was purchased. Problems include anti-lock engaging on dry roads at low speeds, mushy pedal, pedal oozing to floor at stop lights, and continually poor stopping ability. Problems reported to dealer immediately after purchase and several times after. There very competant staff believe the unit performs like all the others they have seen.
When the brakes are applied pedal becomes hard, a popping noise is heard, resulting in extended stopping distance. Dealer has inspected vehicle, but has not been able to duplicate the problem. Manufacturer has been notified.
Total ABS brake failure. It will last for a short time. While driving 15mph and approaching a stop sign ABS brakes failed. No prior warning. Contacted the dealer, and he was not able to help. Dealer claimed that this happened usually when the road was bumpy or at a speed bump. But this was not the case with this vehicle.
Foot went to the floor when the brakes were applyed causing failure. Vehicle experienced no brakes. Contacted & took vehicle to dealer. Mechanic could not find problem.
Vehicle drives absolutely terribly. When going over a bump car lost control. Consumer stated that the dealer said it was the brakes. Dealer has put on 14 different tires.
While pulling into the mcdonald's parking lot, and applying the brakes, the ABS system was working intermittently which caused the consumer to run into a pole.
Truck has had excessive vibration and front end shimmy in the sterring - tires were replaced once by dealer and then again personally. Anti-lock brakes activate if braking even at slow speeds over bump or pavement ripples. Front end seems to lose contact with road easily when going over bump or ripples.( dot number: Tire size: P235/75R16 )
ABS problems: When driving on dry roads and applying the brakes, if there are any type of bumps in the road, the vehicle will not stop. This condition caused driver to crash into the rear of another vehicle. Dealer could not correct the problem.
Vehicle experincing ongoing problem with brake sysytem. Whenever going down a hill and running over a manhole cover, it causes the brake system to release by itself for a second or more (by pushing pedal back upward). Consumer would push down on brake pedal before it would engage and stop vehicle. Dealer notified and nothing can be found. Seeking help from NHTSA in this matter.
Due to the rubber bushing coming apart while driving over 45 mph and driving over a bump, the steering mechanism malfunctioned, causing a crash. Also problems with the braking system, causing extended stopping distance. Dealer cannot determine cause of the problems.
In bumper to bumper traffic & using brakes which got hot. Vehicle accelerated out of control. Front end vibrated. Foot on brakes/accelerator pedal at time. Moved to side of road. Waited 1/2 hour before vehicle was controllable enough to drive. Taking vehicle to dealer.
Intermittently when the brakes are applied the pedal goes to the floor, resulting in extended stoping distance. The dealer has repaired the vehicle twice, and problem still exists.
