since new this silverado has had a rough shift into 2nd gear when towing in the tow mode. The dealer always said it was normal until I was out of warranty. Now at 90000 the truck bangs into 2nd gear when towing in tow mode and it sends a code saying that the torque converter isn't locking up. The dealer parts department doesn't want to sell me a converter but says it is probably a solenoid problem and says I should get the weak solenoid changed. The truck shifts fine in the regular drive mode and if the code is erased it won't come back on until I'm again towing my camper in the tow mode. Any ideas or hidden warranties out there?
