My dad bought the truck brand new and kept the truck in emaculate shape. I bought it from him last year. We have only put Chevron gasoline in it. The gas had gotten extremely low so i put about 1/4 tank of gas in. I drove about 3 miles with no problems. Came back outside and it fired right up, but started to bog down a few blocks down the road when I tried to accelerate. I turned around and put it in the garage. I changed the fuel filter, but the problem persisted. I dropped the tank and removed the filter on the bottom of the fuel pump. Added some starter fluid to the intake and it fired up and sounded like a champ. Revved it up with no problems. But after a minute or so, it began to bog down again and then shut off. It hasn't started again since.
I have checked the wires and there is spark to them. I checked the valve on the fuel rail and there was fuel there, but I haven't checked the fuel pressure yet. I'm assuming it's the fuel pump not getting enough gas to the intake. But I would appreciate some other opinions and help.
