Knocking in the steering, very annoying. Will look into it when the sun starts shining. Man, Chevy has gone down hill. This truck looks new still and has very low mileage. I am going back to Toyota, never have any problems with Toyota ever.

Update from Mar 25, 2018: the knocking can be fixed cheap it is the upper steering link and bearing it cost me 58.00 dollars to fix it but chevy knows the problem and still keeps making truck with subpare parts look on youtube on how to fix it your self it's not that hard and chevy wont make one dime off of you for there cheapness

congrats Chevrolet for yet another problem. First, 4000 miles out of warranty the trans screws up. yes service bulletines put out admitting a problem. But guess what, tough S@@@ . please pay me 2600. to rebuild the trans. Now steering shaft wobbles. and no problem? When I have finally had enough I will trade for a much better truck. TOYOTA. Thanks chevrolet for opening my eyes.

At approx 20,000 miles of ownership the steering wheel starting rattling. After a few visits to the dealership and a new intermediate shaft each time they dug in deeper. Finally after a week of troubleshooting a bad lower bearing in the steering column was found. Now I currently have 30,000 with no steering wheel issues.

I have alway's liked Chevy, I also own a 1983 Ford Bronco, and drove the new Silverado and was impressed. We have had problems with the drivers side wheel bearing completely going out on it at about 17,000 miles or more. I am very displeased with the driver side door where the speaker continuously rattles by the window handle. When it rains and snow then I have a hell of a time opening the doors , because of the frozen water. We are unable to to turn our sound system up to a higher level at anytime because the plastic rattles around the window handle, I know you might might hate this , but it is simple fix-it. Call me at home and I am your biggest customer , PH. 208-587-7427. I wll never stop buying Chevy. (My Word Up) Respectfully we are still under warranty and hope you will take these and all obigatations under consideration when reviewing our concerns about our purchase of your well accepted product.
