After driving for about 10 miles at 9:00 pm in the dark I stopped in the road and put the vehicle in park to look at something - and all the electricals failed. Leaving me with no electrical power at all, unable to restart, unable to run 4 way flashers. I was on a side residential street near the intersection and a vehicle came from the other street turning on to the street I was broken down on, and and was just able to avoid hitting the front of my vehicle.
The driver came back to ask me why I did not have any lights on or my 4 way flashers, when I told him I had no electrical at all he parked his vehicle in front of mine as to warn other cars turning on to the street that I was broken down.
My Chevrolet ordered a tow for me and after 1 hour I was advised that that tow company was not coming to pick the Truck up because no driver would come in to get a tow truck on a Sunday cold and rainy night. My Chevrolet called for another tow company that came at 11:00 pm and a Sheriffs Deputy gave my wife and I a ride home since no other transportation was available. (I should add that the towing company that would not come is Swift Towing of Holt Michigan.)
