CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 has an early trend of the transmission shifting hard, surging & jerking.
At the moment these trucks are still under warranty. However this transmission problem shows up right away with the average reported mileage only around 3,000 miles, so for now the 2017 Silverado earns our "Beware of the Clunker" badge.

The Stabilitrac light came on in the truck causing an unsafe situation as it slowed progress even on major highways. I called this in to find out it wasn't under recall or warranty anymore so decided to pay out of pocket to have the repair made to some transmission issue. Asked the sales person to tell me the truth on if this was common issue and she stated it was but GM had not recalled this on the 2015-2019 models. Read my other post for more transmission issues.
