On 04-30 04, I took my 02 Silverado with 26,000 miles in for an oil change during inspection of my vehicle. Dealer discovered dirt in front and rear brake pads had damaged the brake rotors. Dealer was able to fix the damage to front rotors, but had to replace the rear rotors. When I questioned the service manger why this would happen he advised they have seen it on a number of trucks and there was nothing I could do to prevent it.
