: the contact stated after exiting the vehicle with the engine running and the shifter in the park position, the vehicle began to roll down the driveway. The contact was able to get in the vehicle and stop it. The dealership determined the vehicle was in drive, although the gear position indicated park. The dealership replaced the cable. Updated 2/21/2006 - the shift cable broke causing the vehicle to roll away while a child was still seated in the rear of the vehicle.
