I have had 2 wheels crack at the valve stem area within the last 2 months. This causes the tire presure to drop to a dangerously low amount ( 20-30 psi). I felt the truck pulling to the right when the first wheel cracked and pulled over before anything blew. The second wheel was noticed when I was at a horse show. It was down to 22 psi. I put 75 psi in it and made it home (5 hours) and it had dropped to 65. This crack causes slow leak and it is not detectable until the tires are very low.

I want to file a safety complaint I have a vibration problem with this truck and believe the is a problem with the Goodyear tires the dealer has changed 11 tires and one rim on my truck the when driving at highway speeds there is a strong vibration and the longer you drive the worse it gets I think because the tires are heating and making the tire weak there is only one tire available in the size that GM posted on door sticker Goodyear Wrangler sr-a LT265/60R20E I purchased this truck new GM says vibration is normal the vibration gets to the point where it feels like the wheel want to come off there is a lot of people with the same issues on line GM trucks.com.

Recently purchased Silverado 3500hd truck, I had no idea it did not have tire pressure monitoring system until I got home and was going through the vehicle driver information center. I thought all consumer vehicles has this safety feature. As it turns out everyone at the dealership was also surprised. Chevrolet has this listed as an option for a 3500hd, however they say it is not a supported configuration. I think the NHTSA needs to revise their TPMS to all vehicles sold not just those below 10,000lbs. Tire pressure monitoring is a big safety issue for all vehicles, and can help avoid many mistakes. I appreciated it in my previous vehicle, I was alerted to a nail in leak and found a nail, I could have easily driven on the tire and had it fail while driving. Nearest I can tell, the components except for the sensors are in the truck as it is the same as the 2500hd, GM just refuses to make the required software changes to support adding TPMS to my new truck. I've gotten every excuse under the sun until I got the its not a supported configuration, note I was not told it was not possible. (though someone did, stating the tires were the issue, but the tires on this vehicle are the same as on the 2500hd).
