So many problems with this 05 Tahoe, it's getting really old really quick. Fuel gauge started acting up about 3 or 4 months ago - will read every level, except the correct fuel level. Dealer said it was the sensor in the tank, which would be about $300 to fix (after the $100 or so in diagnostic already). And they're so nice they even offered to replace the fuel pump for, oh, another $400. Said I may as well do it at the same time while the tank was dropped. What a bargain!!!! NOT!!!
