Dash board is cracked around passenger side airbag and driver side steering wheel. Chevrolet dealer refused to replace it even under extended warranty. If I am ever in a accident that bag deploys, pieces of the dashboard will become projectiles. I escalated with and GM with no reply.

I was driving home on the highway when I heard a loud pop. I thought a rock had hit my windshield. When I arrived home I saw some white material which looked like cotton on the dash. After further inspection I realized that the "pop"was my dashboard cracking. My car is garaged accept when I am at work, which when there are sun protectors on my dashboard during the warm months. My Tahoe only has 76,000 miles on it.

Since the crack runs down to the airbag it could possible shatter the plastic and damage passengers. I have found this to be a very common issue and that injuries have occurred due to this unsafe dash. This needs to be a safety recall for the safety of the drivers and passengers.

I own a 2013 Chevy Tahoe and out of no where the dash board cracked around the passenger air bag. Within a day the crack made the dashboard drop and now has spread within a week to above the steering column. As this relates to the airbag, I consider it a safety hazard and a defect. My dash has two cracks: One near the left corner of the passenger air bag and one on the right mid point of the curve over the control section of the dash. I have see where this is a design problem and many people have the same cracks. I noticed the first crack May 5, 2018 and the second crack May 25, 2018. I noticed them when my vehicle was parked. I am very concerned about how unsafe this is with the passenger airbag and possible flying debris in the event of an accident. My car is still under warranty.
