With the problem of my driver side seat breaking and having me leaning forward and to the right while driving, I can say at that time it was a unknown occurrence and GM/Chevrolet repaired it at no cost.

Trailblazer EXT 4.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 130,000 miles

My 2003 trail blazer has started to have a drivers side seat problem. The seat buckles back and stays in that position without me moving it due to the weight of my body. I took it to my mechanic. He took the seat completely out and found that the mechanisim that moves the seat back and forth was disconected. Somehow it worked itself loose. He fixed it but after a few weeks it went back to the same position. I repaired it myself the next time it happened. It didn't last long before it returned to the same position. I don't know what else to do because I don' twant to keep taking the seat out. I'm thinking that it's an electrical/mechanical gliche and that I need to replace that whole switch. Help!!!
