The Trailblazers have this issue of the fan clutch motor going bad. mine. All I have had is problems. I did not know this when I bought Why hasnt Chevorlet issued a recall for this issue. It seems anytime I run in to another owner of a trailblazer they have the same issue. The ticking noise is so annoying and it does get louder. Sometimes when taking off it sounds like a jet or something and doesnt want to move like normal, like it is bogged down, then eventually goes away. This is a huge issue Chevorlet should fix instead of the consumer having to come out of pocket for something that was a defect when the Trailblazers were built.

Trailblazer LS Straight 6

Ticking noise did not change with RPM. I got out my stethoscope and looked everywhere. Could not figure out where it was coming from. I finally noticed it went away when the fan clutch fully engaged as engine heated up. O'Reilys had a replacement for about $175.00. Installed it in 25 minutes. No problems other than the fan is quite noisy when fully engaged.

Oh my God, I can not believe i am not by myself. I only had my car for a week, when i started hearing the clicking noise. I took it back to dealership asap. Why when i take it back, there was no noise. Bullshit i know it was there!!! Get it home in driveway and yes, you know THE CLICKING NOISE. I have not made arrangement to take it back to lot yet, but now i will return my car for another look since i can across the website. Thanks for nothing Chevrolet...so disappointed!

three times in with the ticking sound and finally was told it was the cooling fan clutch. Too bad by this time my warranty had ran out and because they did not write it down and sent me on my way, I had to pay.
