I have had the exact problems as stated in 10047425. Windshield wipers went out completely on a rainy day, module replaced, A/C broke on a hot day-fixed, power steering assist stopped working completely making driving the vehicle nearly impossible, vehicle started on reserve power when temp hit -6 degrees, heater motor stopped working completely the next day -10 degrees. Basically this vehicle doesn't like changes in weather.

I experienced a problem with my trail Blazer about a month ago. The problem was annunciated by the engine light and reduced power. The first occurrence was while I was merging at a toll plaza in Chicago that cleared after stopping the vehicle and restarting. I experienced a problem with my trail Blazer about a month ago. The problem was annunciated by the engine light and reduced power. Several weeks later the second time the problem recurred was on a secondary road and third time while making a left at an intersection and the engine light did not clear. The dealer repaired the vehicle after replacing the accelerator unit, which I understand replaced a simple accelerator cable. The concern is the projected failure of a critical part of the vehicle failing while merging or making left turns in front of on coming traffic and the significant risk to injury to the driver and passengers inside the vehicle. If GM engineer can design an electronic component to replace a simple accelerator cable, I assume the component standards would equal the same reliability as the cable. Response by Chevrolet: Good evening! thank you for contacting the Chevrolet customer assistance center. We sincerely apologize for the engine light and reduced power concerns you were experiencing on your 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. In addition, we also deeply regret to hear the misfortunate incidents you experienced while the concern was being resolved. We, at Chevrolet, understand that of all the factors involved in customer satisfaction, safety is of primary concern. Please be assured that Chevrolet works diligently to provide a high quality product that we hope will exceed your expectations. However, when dealing with a mechanical part, there is always a chance that something might fail. That is something we cannot speculate on; and why we do provide a warranty on that item of 12 months, or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Owned 03 Trailblazer for 4 months and has given me electrical & mechanical problems. I had one problem since I first bought this vehicle and now I have 13 things that are a danger to me and my family. Ac turns on by itself whether car is off or on. Ac has turned on while I was driving frightening the hell out of me causing me to almost lose control of the wheel. Ac, engine lacks horse power, hand brake, hazard lights, lights turn off, mirrors move by themselves, car boggs as if it wants to turn off, while driving steering wheel moves by itself, gas gauge has read low fuel when gas is full. I am terrified the car will give out with my child and I in it.I have tried to have vehicle repaired numerous times and still dealer can't seem to duplicate the problem. The vehicle is a hazard to me and my family and to all those who own one. Need the problem to be fixed before any tragedies occur.

Lost total electrical power/stalled while idling at first, then when going about 35 mph. Dealer "reset" computer according to a service bulletin which says this is a known problem. Service bulletin says it is occurs when module on powertrain checks evap system, there is some type of a "glitch" which shuts everything down. According to GM, there is no fix yet for the problem. My concern is driving on the highway, this could happen and cause crash because there is no control of vehicle. If it happens during night, other drivers will not see me because all lights go out, power steering and power brakes are lost. Resetting the computer did not help as it happened within 2 days again. Please help asap because I'm afraid to drive this vehicle!

Tail light is continuously burning out without warning. Cause unknown. The right front headlight burned out on 07/17/03. On the way to the dealer to get the headlight replaced, the check engine light illuminated. The consumer was advised that the engine light was covered under recall and replaced the circuit board. Consumer questioned whether the rear safety hazard would be repaired if Chevrolet is just changing bulbs without fixing the circuit board.
