200 Anniversary

It's been 7 days in a row and it is still stalling. I'm now waiting for an appointment at the dealer.

200 Anniversary

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

Just replaced the battery and had an electrical check done. The next day, it stalled 2 more times on my way to work in my neighborhood! I almost got rear-ended when I was trying to restart the car at a stop sign and then stalled in the middle of a traffic signal intersection and was lucky it was on a hill going down. I'm now beyond annoyed.

200 Limited 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 108,000 miles

I bought my car in 2016 and for the most part. It's a good car but about 6 months ago the car started to stall when I was driving it and it took me two or thee times hitting the button to restart it. All the dealer wants to do is hook it up to the computer and check the ecm. I'm at wits end. Can someone tell me how to fix this thing please?

200 LS

  • Automatic transmission
  • 49,000 miles

Car shuts down while driving. All the lights, windows, etc. still work; but the car shuts down. This has happened to me at least six times. Sometimes it will restart after a little while; but this last time, it would not. Last time it happened on a six lane highway at 50mph in rush hour traffic. I have taken it to the dealership three times. Each time they were unable to find the problem and let me drive away in this dangerous vehicle. The last time I took it to them, they printed out the diagnostic sheet that provided no help; and advised me to look up a website where about 1500 other people are having this same problem, figure out what the issue is, and take it to a mechanic. Newsflash, Courtesy dealership in Tampa, FL: "MY CAR IS UNDER WARRANTY." Had to have the car towed to them yesterday. Finally, they pulled up the warranty and agreed to work on it. I guess there is no issue unless your car has to be towed in. I guess we will see. I have to say, the way Courtesy handled this was very unprofessional and disturbing.

problem #2

Aug 182018

  • Automatic transmission
  • 37,011 miles

While driving the vehicle shuts off without any notice. Was driving between 35 - 45 mph each times. Just purchased vehicle on August 2, 2018 which had 33,600 miles and now has $37,011 miles. The engine throttle control light and battery light flickered on and off. Now those two lights are no longer flickering but engine light is now on. Also while driving the engine will jerk when accelerating or slowing down as if there is something wrong with the transmission. The remote start on the vehicle is not working either. The look of the car is nice but the overall experience of driving the car is awful. Taking care into repair shop today and hopefully can get some type of permanent resolve.

I called 1-800-853-1403 to see if there were any recalls for my specific vehicle and was told no. This is absolutely horrible! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A CHRYSLER VEHICLE AGAIN.

200 LX V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 400 miles

Bought the car from Holly Kia in Delaware not even 2 months ago. Untitled with 243 miles on it. Drove about 200 miles and getting on I-95 in Emporia, VA and car lost power. Pulled over and turned car off and restarted it. Seemed fine. Same thing keeps happening. Happened again August 18,2017 and took it to dealer on August 21. When I called the dealer I was told we would have a loaner car. Got there and was told they could shuttle me home and IF they could recreate the problem, then I would get a loaner car.I had an appointment in the afternoon. I am single and disabled and really can't be without a car. Told them I will reschedule. After reading some of the posts on here, I am disappointed that no real cause can be found. This is really a pain and I am totally over it.

Update from Aug 21, 2017: This is a 2016 Chrysler 200. Maybe this was the reason it sat on a lot until they found someone stupid enough to buy it.

Update from Jan 25, 2018: I is now January 2018. the vehicle was service in Florida, once here in Nevada in December. Additionally I have had vehicle checked by 2 engineers on 2 separate occasions. The first inspection took about an hour and the engineer came to talk to me. He asked me if I could drive a stick shift and I said yes. He said so you use your right foot on the gas and the left foot on the brake? I said no. The right foot for both. He then asked if any one else drives the car and can substantiate the problem. I said no but my roommate is generally in the car when it happens. It finally dawned on me what he was fishing for. I asked if he thought it was my fault. He just said there is a simple solution to the problem. I was furious. I have been dealing with this since I drove the car off the lot. I called Chrysler and was told my case had been escalated and the new case manage would get back to me. That didn't happen. Then I got a call from another engineer and had another appointment. This time it was 2 hours. Once again, I was told that he could not tell his findings only Chrysler could. I was on the phone with them while I was still in the service area. Now get this: I call customer service and explain my frustration and anger that no one has bothered to contact me regarding this. Well, customer service can't contact that department directly. Only through voice mail or internet. What kind of business is this that you can't call a department within your company? I was supposed to get a call today, January 24, 2018. I received nothing.I believe it is time to call an attorney.
