Had never owned a vehicle with a back up camera before. When I bought this new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica I thought the image from the backup camera was somewhat dim but did not compare it to any other vehicles on the lot.
Got a 2019 Civic last year and noticed how nice and bright the camera view was in it. Too late to complain to Chrysler now that the van has over 36,000 Miles. Too bad American vehicles don't give you a longer warranty without having to pay for it.
Update from Mar 14, 2020: At night with lights on screen is very dark. Found out that in settings/Display the factory display setting was set to AUTO display. I set it to Manual Display and now with headlights on the rear camera display is much brighter.
