Dealer tells me he hasn’t heard of this issue. It happens on long hills. He did not offer an attempt to fix it. I expect cruise to hold within 2mph. Upshot will likely be a speeding ticket. I don’t know what to do about it. Any help appreciated.
I am aware of the new recall that the CC will not cancel and will have that done.
We don't drive much but in the last 4 months or so I have experienced acceleration for some unknown reason while in cruise control.
I will have the van set for 50 MPH for example and without reason or doing anything that I am aware of the car will suddenly accelerate hard enough that the transmission shifts down. I have not let it go but did see it excess 15-20 mph higher than I had it set before I canceled it.
Coupled with the current recall that you cannot cancel the CC I thought I would report this matter too.
