On Monday night around 10:45 P.M., my family and I returned from a 7 day vacation visiting in-laws in California and nearly broke! Upon taking the shuttle to our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Minivan which was parked at the CVG Airport Valu Lot, our van was completely dead. We utilized our roadside assistance only to find out our batteries (2) were indeed dead and unable to be jumped. The towing service finally got our van loaded and delivered it to a local Chrysler dealership at about 4 A.M. Monday morning. Now we had to rent a hotel room near the airport which wasn't in the budget! I contacted the service department at 8 A.M. and explained our situation and the fact we lived about two hours away. I was traveling with my wife and 3 of our children. The service department said they would look into our van issues ASAP. After a couple hours, I was contacted by the service department and they said both of our batteries were dead and needed to be replaced. They also informed me that our extended warranty would NOT cover the replacement of the expensive batteries. We have owned this van less than two years and I felt the batteries had failed prematurely. We have around 39,000 miles on the van. I was frustrated with the thought of having to spend 3 to 5 hundred dollars on new batteries and labor having just returned from a 7 day vacation. Luckily they told me not to worry as the dealership was going to take care of the problem at NO COST TO US! WOW! We couldn't believe that. I was told the dealership only had 1 of the two batteries our van needed and the nearest they could find the other battery was a 3 hour round trip to retrieve! Quite unbelievable that no dealership in the Greater Cincinnati area had that battery! [HINT] They are replacing so many!!! Even the dealership that helped us said they were replacing their fair share on the Pacifica's. The department manager agrees these van batteries are failing prematurely and Chrysler has a problem!

I took my car in to have the Unconnect issue fixed. It was a wiring problem. Well they fixed the wire and now 2 weeks later my car had no power to start, my shifter needs service, my power steering needs service, nothing electrical works on the car. The radio and lights won't shut off so we had to disconnect the battery. We cannot get it to start at all, it doesn't even make a sound.

Had it towed to Chrysler but who knows when they will even look at it. I know it wasn't the battery because it was just tested when we had tires put on and it was still good. We tired to jump it and it started and immediately shut back off. There is something going on with the car but the dealerships don't want to admit to any of it. My car is no longer under warranty because we have 53k miles despite the fact that the car is only 2 years old..
