So tired of not being able to refuel my minivan like a normal person. Gas pump keeps shutting off after putting only a few cents in when the tank is nowhere near full. Have to run pump at a slow speed and listen for it to get full. Quite impossible to hear when you are on a busy road. Takes triple the time to fill my tank. This has been ongoing since I purchased this vehicle new 2 years ago.

Starting at roughly 35,000 miles, when filling up gas tank, immediately after fill-up, van will not start. Brake pedal will be hard as a brick. Have to push Push-Button Start button again to get it to stop trying to start. Then try starting again and it usually will start. Check Engine Light On...

My mechanic says its code for the Gas Cap... but van does not have a Gas Cap. Nothing he could do other than clean-out gas opening. Problem still occurring at every fill-up and Check Engine Light still is on.

Pacifica LX 3.6L V6

I bought the van second hand with 26700 miles. First time we refill, issue already started but only once or twice per full tank, so I ignored it. We had a road trip up north of Arizona where temperature is much cooler, and issue got worse. It seemed like, when it is cold like under 40 deg f, and refilling first thing in the morning, when it occurs almost always. Happens often also when running in fumes and refueling. It is just annoying that the dealer knows about it but they make it sound like it is just a normal thing. I have gone to the dealer and sure thing that at the time that we are to test the issue, it did not happen. Of course it was a day when the temperature was mild and the van hasn't been driven much, so no heavy fumes built-up yet. So I was told that they cannot fix something that is not broken. They even told me not to use high pressure when refueling, but rather the low or slow refueling. This is just absurd!

I thought I was the only one that had problems filling my dam gas tank..until my daughter called me one day and said "mom I cant get gas in the van...what am I doing wrong" and I said its not you, its the van... it is REALLY annoying... it takes forever to fill the tank because its keeps shutting off every 5 secs... the only way I can get it to work is to turn the handle almost upside down while fueling...

Same problem. Wife's car, started a few times, thought it was the pump. Cuts off a second after starting to fuel. Problem has gotten worse and worse so that now its a complain hassle to get gas in the car. Dealer says they never heard of this problem. Will have to take it in and let them try. since its not 100% I know they will go to fill it and not have any problems which will make it even more annoying.

The vehicle is less than a year old covered under factory and additional warranty. Fueling the vehicle is becoming worse and worse. At first it was selective to certain pumps and now it's any pump. Once fueling begins it kicks the pump off signaling a full tank. This goes on for every 15 cents of fuel you pump. Vehicle was brought to a dealership (Champion Dodge Gulfport, MS) where they could not find an issue with in the tests they ran per Chrysler. Called Chrysler corp. to file a complaint and was given a case number but was told to take the vehicle to another dealership to see if they can find or fix this issue. The problem with that is I will have visit another gas station and spend 20+ minutes attempting to fill my tank.

When filling the gas tank, you have to re-position the nozzle, multiple times, pump at half speed and then you are lucky to get the tank full of gas. The dealer's only response was to give us a sheet telling us how to pump gas. All of which we have tried with no real success. The dealer is not responsive to this problem and if you check the web, you will find this is common problem with Chrysler vehicles which Chrysler is denying and refusing to fix. This is a serious defect and a real pain in the ass. We will never again buy a Chrysler vehicle
