Dodge needs to fix the problem I'm sick and tired of having to pick more and more pieces out of the dash cause I cant stand the noise of the banging around.

Ram 2500 Sport 5.9L

Bought new in 1998. Garaged at home and work through mid 2005. Since parked in driveway with sun screen. It is a 2nd car for 3 years now (very low usage). Dash started cracking earlier this year. Getting worse regardless of little usage. If the airbag were to deploy in an accident the dashboard would likely disintegrate into shrapnel causing lacerations and eye injury.

This is a very poor reflection on an otherwise awesome truck. This is probably the best truck I have ever owned and it really gets under my skin that Dodge, in what should be their glory days of comeback, would let something like this continue without any effort whatsoever to help loyal buyers. I bought the truck second hand with this problem fully disclosed, but I never dreamed Dodge would charge what they do for replacement parts that are obviously junk. They could at least supply a replacement at a cost below that of a new trucks bedliner, this price is unspeakable.

The dashboard cracked even though i used windshield screen. Very upset because I know that this is an ongoing issue. Several friends also have Dodge Rams and they all have the same problem. As many problems that are reported with this issue, Dodge should have a recall of this due to the sharp edges. Come up,Dodge, step up!

Dash cracked-- 100 dollars for new aftermarket part that anyone with an iq over 60 can replace. GET OVER IT. what about all the ford super duty trucks that failed zf transmissions and pos flywheels. what about all the Chevy trucks and cars in the 80s with their pos diesel engines. what about the pinto fireball or the vega with sh*t engines. This truck has had a few issues but what hasn't. I just can not believe all the crying. If you thought nothing would ever fail how far up your ass was your head when you bought it, Sound like the people that buy the cheapest insurance and then expect the best coverage. Maybe if US companies didn't have to pay union wages they could increase the quality of their parts. OH WAIT they bought these dash parts from overseas.

It constantly makes noise. It is only an irritating, but not worth the effort of having it fixed unless the replacement part will not cause the same problem.
