Takata recall was informed early last year via recall notice about the issue, when I contacted Dodge to get service they informed me that the parts were not available. I inquired about the safety of driving and they commented..if you don't feel safe you should not drive the vehicle. That is a poor answer for a $400.00 vehicle. Another issue that is a real safety matter even though denied by Dodge is the dashboard on the truck is a hazard due to chunks that fly at you due to the breakdown of the inferior plastic that was utilized...according to a former service manager @ Dodge. I went to Dodge and they stated it was poor maintenance and had I asked during my warranty would of covered a portion of the repair. How is this poor treatment when you google the issue and thousands of comments appear on this matter? below it requests the date, I am unsure of the exact date just recall it being early last year

My complaint refers to NHTSA-safety recall number: R26/nhtsa15V-312; recall date: May 29,2015.involving the takata airbag inflators: My vehicle was named: 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 with a cummins diesel by the manufacturer, Chrysler, dba ""fca- us -llc pobx 218008, auburn hills Michigan. One week later, I notified my local Dodge dealer: (huntington New York Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Ram located at 1220 East jericho turnpike, huntington, New York 11743, phone: 1-866-525-7118. I called the dealership today and their reply was, "the part to correct this is still not in". this is a very serious health & safety issue. It has been 8 months since my recall notice. I want your Agency to determine if Chrysler has put a plan in place to deliver the parts to the dealers and what is the specific timeline and provide the public with the name, job title, address & phone number of the persons at Chrysler who are being held accountable for this remedy, yet to be performed.

Takata recall. I set the notice aside and misplaced it. Out of sight, out of mind. I received it so long ago I have forgotten the date. I have never received the notice that the part is in and to bring my truck in for replacement. I received two recalls before on steering problems and was told that they didn't qualify even though I had already had to have them fixed on my own.

I contacted Dodge dealer in April of 2015 to inspect tie rod end steering linkage. They informed me that they can not get the parts, it's going on a year now. I contacted Chrysler about this and they informed me that the dealership has the parts. How am I supposed to get this recall addressed?

Takata recall. The fca air bag recall is a joke. They take your information and then say parts are not available and you will be notified. Not good enough. How about we expect replacement air bags before you get injured. Not we will notify you. How about providing some kind of update after 6 months. The government let these people off way to easy. It is not enough to tell the government that we will recall these vehicles and then never do it. What is being done to be sure that they are following through with these repairs" are they hoping that the owners will just stop asking for the repairs? the public should at least be given an update on when they think parts will become available. Their recall system does not even provide you with a document to prove that you ever requested repairs. I had the dealership by my house just put my information on a piece of paper and then told me I would be notified when a part was available. How does the dealership or fca even know that that dealership is waiting on an air bag for my vehicle" I had the same recall on my Ford and I will tell you it was taken seriously and my replacement parts was marked urgent in their system and it was taken care of within days not months.
