I have a warranty with Jones Junction Kia. I couldn't take my truck anywhere else. The engine light kept coming on and going off. Well I got all the maintenance as needed however. I was told that when any Ford reaches almost 100000 miles that it's a defect that coolant leaks into the engine. Well I never heard such. Come to fine out? The adjusters had to tell the mechanics what was wrong because they couldn't understand what was happening with my truck. The adjusters said my engine needed to be replace because of several other Fords are habi g this same issue. They also repaired my brakes. Jones Kia twice within a 2 month span. And the brake light came on and stayed on. If you need more details ols contact me.

I have a 2016 ford edge sport I bought from a ford dealer and I now have adaptive steering fault code that has popped up and now the steering wheel is turned 90 degrees to the left and the suv steering is not working correctly and is very dangerous to drive I called the dealership and was told I have to pay for them to look at and to fix it the is a major safty issue as it's not safe to drive and this suv had the airbag recall fixed and I have seen others have the same issue I am having now and it has to do with faulty parts in the steering wheel again is a major safety issue.

On my Ford there is a device somewhere inside the rear bumper assembly that will automatically open or close the rear hatch as long as the user has the key fob in their possession. There have been several times where the hatch has come down almost on top of me or my wife. There is a tone that sounds when the hatch starts to move but it only sounds from the front and can be difficult to hear if parked near a street or a busy parking lot. It would be a big help if the automatic hatch movement could be turned off by the driver. I believe Ford should also have a device in-betted in the hatch that also sounds if there is a problem. I have spoken to other owners on the web who also can-€™t find a way to turn off the hatch.

A Manufacture defect in the brake light housing cracks and causes water inside the light housing causing the light to be dim, eventually short out, and also flicker and shut off & on occasion. The end result is no brake lights or sometimes working depending on the water damage from the Manufacture defect of the light housing plastic.

My parking brake, ABS, and Traction Control (ESC) warning lights all illuminate even when not engaged (Parking Brake states engaged even while driving.) Traction Control (ESC) on/off indicators illuminate opposite of engagement/unengagement (no correlation between.) Identical symptoms from NHTSA recall #16V733000. My car was manufactured right during that timeframe when my make/model/year were deemed loaded with improper ABS/ESC computer software. I brought it into Ford repeatedly and it was incorrectly diagnosed as a faulty E-Brake switch, only to give me my vehicle back and E-Brake could not be unengaged while they returned me the keys in the lot. They looked at it again and stated my ABS Module was broken causing my parking brake actuators to now be faulty resulting in my rear rotors to be worn down to unsafe driving levels. The best reason they could give me for a faulty ABS Module was "lightning strike." I called Ford Customer Care and asked if my car was overlooked in this recall before sold to me and they originally said it was (told me it was manufactured in Ontario, Canada) but then called back to tell me it wasn't one of the vehicles affected. I am deafly afraid that my braking system will fail as I am driving.

I have a 2016 Ford Edge, which has a panoramic sunroof and moon roof. My sunroof motor only works half the time. It will open with no issues, but then in order to close it, it will close, and then open again. I have to close it several times before it actually stays closed. The other issue I am having is with the moon roof. It has randomly cracked. I keep my vehicle parked in the garage, and work from home. There is no chip in the glass, and the glass doesn't look like a regular spider from a chip. It's wavy cracks.

Adaptive steering fault service required light is on. Car pulls to the right ever since light came on. Took it in for service at 37,000 miles and Ford refuses to repair this safety malfunction under any type of warranty. I purchased extended platinum insurance coverage because I bought this vehicle used 1 year ago. Light comes on everything I turn the vehicle on. I'm concerned for my safety driving, especially at high speeds on the freeway.

While driving the vehicle on the interstate, three different times it suddenly, without warning, lost all power and shutdown the car. No power, lights, power steering, etc. I had to coast to a stop on a major interstate. Once I was stopped, turned off the car and it restarted like nothing happened. These events were very dangerous. Once was when it was raining so when the car lost power, the wipers stopped at 70 mph so I had to navigate to the shoulder without being able to see. A second time was at night driving 70 mph, when it shutdown, I lost headlights and I couldn't see. It was terrifying as I was in a remote area of I-49 without any lighting to navigate to the shoulder. Again, once stopped and put in park, it restarted immediately. Please note, I'm not the owner of this car. I was driving it as a loaner from a used car dealership. This problem was so serious I am reporting directly to the NHTSA as this car had no recalls to address. Someone is going to get injuries or die. I was terrified.

When I am driving, my volume for the radio will increase very quickly while have my hands on the steering wheel. I have been driving or parked and it will accelerate as high as it can go. This can be startling, because I am not expecting the sound to get extremely loud, quickly. I have gone into the settings and turned the setting to off when it asks about the volume increasing when we accelerate the gas. However, this didn't fix the problem. Although I chose a date at the bottom as to when this happened, it's not accurate. It is very random and unpredictable when the volume increases.

Vehicle has a motion sensor under the rear area that enables the hatch to open and close when you slide you foot under the bumper if you have the key fob on you. When you begin loading packages if your foot moves near the sensor the hatch can close down suddenly and hit you in the head or back if you are turning to empty a cart. There seems to be no way for the user to shut off the motion sensor. A google search reveals many complaints people have made on this topic. Several Ford products have the same system. Vehicle is parked when this happens.

The rear lights across the rear of the car, get filled with water.. this started approx 2 years ago with some condensation, each time I was told this was normal and it would dry after some time. Recently it has gotten a lot worse, and the water fills up over the bulbs and doesn't dry. Pictures were taken by the dealer and submitted to both warranty co's. only to be rejected.. I feel this is a safety issue

When coming to a stop at an intersection the proximity sensors go off inadvertently frequently when there is no object there. We have taken it to Ford service several times only to be told everything checks out okay. This happens on a daily basis and is very annoying and makes us not trust the sensors since they sense objects that are not visible. This usually happens when slowing down for a stop sign at an intersection or stop light. It can go off on either side even through no other vehicles or objects are there. My wife has recorded this on her phone to show the service department but so far they have not been able to duplicate it. When we showed them the video they said they had another person record a video of the same issue on another Ford Edge under slowing or coming to a stop at an intersection. This report wants a specific date reported when this happened however as mentioned this happens on a regular basis and has done since it was purchased new from Ford country in henderson, nv. We have taken it into two different dealers trying to have this problem taken care of both gaudin Ford in las vegas, nv and Ford country where we purchased the vehicle in henderson,

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. While operating the vehicle, the temperature gauge increased to "hot" and the "coolant overheated" message displayed. The vehicle was taken to park city Ford (3333 inwood rd, dallas, tx) where it was diagnosed that an electrical voltage surge had damaged the battery, wire harness, fuse box, and cooling fan. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 37,000.

The car was parked. The head lights turned on/off a couple of times, the interior lights turned on/off, and the driver and passenger door windows opened and closed spontaneously. Both key fobs were in the house at least 40 feet from the car. The car does not have remote start option. The car was parked in front of an attached garage. The house is in a rural area at least 1/4 mile from the nearest house. The obvious concern is security with regard to theft in an urban setting. Also possible water damage if this was to occur during a rainstorm. It was witnessed by three different people. The only "rf" devices active in the house were a cordless phone, two cell phones, and a wifi router.

I bought a 2016 Edge titanium last year. The wrench engine light came on this week. When I took the Edge to the dealer, the first thing the dealership did was look into the engine compartment and explained that my wires and sensors were chewed by rabbits or mice. I learned the electrical wiring system is soy based. I asked if the dealer could replace the wires and sensors with non-soy products and was told Ford does not make a non-soy based wiring system. I live in Colorado and we use our vehicles out side for camping, vacations, and driving. Animals apparently love soy. There are plenty of opportunities for animals to destroy wiring systems where I live. This cost me $1,050. This also happened to my brother who lives in Missouri. He had a 2016 Ford Fusion. It was parked in his driveway 4 weeks. He could not start his car and had it towed to his dealership. He was informed he had to have his electrical wiring and sensors replaced, which cost him $2,000. This never happened to me before, or my brother, and I have purchased Ford since the 1970S. I feel Ford should offer the option to replace these defective wiring systems with a non-soy product and reimburse us for this damage. When the dealership is done with the repair, I will be happy to provide the repair bill.

Driving down the interstate at 80 mph in motion when the car started to go into 'limp mode.' The dash stated there was 'low oil pressure' and 'check airbags.' Within the next three seconds the car started to lose power and power steering was shut off. The car started slowing down at a dramatic rate leaving me stranded. After the car killed the engine I was not able to restart the car. The car would turn over, but not hold power it would die immediately. I was finally able to start the car after waiting 10 minutes. The car would start and hold power. The check engine light and airbag light were on. I was only able to drive a mile before the problem would start all over again. This has happened to me on multiple occasions averaging about every 2,000 miles. It has happened in blizzard conditions, rain, and on a 50 degree day. Also while driving 35 mph and on a highway got 55 mph. I have taken the car into Ford and they told me there is nothing wring with the car. When plugging the car into the system to look for the problem they stated nothing shows up, even with the check engine light on.

Please allow me to qualify this documentation by stating that we have not yet brought this auto back to the dealer at this time. We purchased the car less than a year ago. The car has fewer than 3,000 miles. In the past week we are seeing the adaptive steering warning light come on after starting and as soon as putting the car into gear. This has occurred 4 times in the past week. We have not noticed any difference in steering, the wheel turning off center, none of the issues reported by numerous other people on the web. But I certainly expect this to happen at some point. My concern is how many reports are on the web from owners who experience this fault. And the many variations of how different Ford dealers choose to manage the problem. Everything from replacing the steering wheel to the good old "well, we can't replicate the problem" brush off. Once again, I have not yet visited my Ford dealer but expect to very quickly. I have no idea what they will do, if they will do anything, or how long it will take. What I do know is the following....... an issue of this nature constitutes, in my mind, a questionable level of safety concern be it mild or major. The owner of the vehicle must pay for additional expenses by missing work, maybe renting a car, to have this problem possibly resolved or possibly not. And in the interim drive with a concern for safety. Because not everyone can just stop what they are doing when that light comes on and drive to a Ford service center which, for the most part, is only open M-F and usually requires appointments in advance. I am keeping my fingers crossed that our dealer, which we bought two new 2016 cars from last year, will be pro-active in addressing this problem once we can bring the car in. But I believe the NHTSA must become involved and demand that fmc develops a fix and offers a recall.
