I changed the ignition switch again and of course it was something else, this time the ground wire to transmission .

Escape Limited V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 57,000 miles

With the onset of some cold weather, 10-20 degrees F, for the last few days, the Escape won't start. Battery is completely drained. I put a charger in the battery, it holds a charge, then next morning completely dead..nothing..not even interior lights. Everyone knows what a pain that a dead battery is. Anybody got any ideas?? I was thinking maybe a faulty ignition switch that is sticking? Something is drawing on the battery causing it to discharge and go dead.

This has happened numerous times! When we took it in to Ford, they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Told us if the car is going to sit more than a few days, we should disconnect the battery! What kind of vehicle is that? Ridiculous!! We're taking it in again!!
