When I accelerate my wheel feels like it's slipping and grinding and when I apply the brakes hard they seem to not want to stop keeping my ABS on I feel the grinding and brake issue coming from the front wheel. When I step on the gas the front wheel hops and doesn't get traction wants to constantly slip and when I stop in snow the brakes lock up in front and ABS stays on for a bit might be gear drive or bearing it's getting bad. This happens when I have to give a lot of gas to go and the ABS when I need to really stop. This started a couple months after I financed it through genthe Chevrolet but I work many hours and it has to be fixed before I end up stranded or in an accident. When I first test drove it it was acting up I told the salesman dave teska he told me it was fixed but he must of doped it like the interior it looked new when I bought it now it has stain spots and looks dirty I found out it was a Ford fabric problem and they can't do anything. I'll never buy another vehicle again from genthe.

The contact owns a 2009 Ford Escape. While operating the vehicle, the low air valve sensor indicator illuminated, indicating that one of the tires experienced low air pressure. Moments later, the steering wheel became very difficult to turn in either direction. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer (jones Ford, 2410 ocean hwy 17 South, supply, nc) where it was diagnosed that the steering pump was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 154,000.

While driving the steering wheel gets stuck as if I'm out of power steering fluid, which it's not. Also, the wheels are shaky and feel like their about to come off. Someone hit my vehicle and it completely went out. Now I'm paying for a rental until gets fixed and I'm paying for the repairs instead of the company.

There is a known throttle body issue with the Ford Escape 2009, where the truck goes into "limp mode" indicated by an illuminated wrench. I had just taken it in for this issue, Ford only did the recalibration and did not replace the defective throttle body. The next day while in the parking lot at my work, the vehicle went into "wrench mode" or "enhanced limp mode (since the recalibration)" and lurched into a cement pillar causing severe damage to the front right side of my vehicle. Damage was ~$5K, rental car $500, deductible $100, higher insurance, structural damage to the vehicle (permanent loss of value).
