got rear ended/t-boned in january 2022 at low rate of speed, started having issues for the first time since 2011, check engine light comes on periodically since the accident, power steering has gone in and out periodically since the accident, engine seems to stumble periodically since March 2022, AC has never worked since 2011, recently (june 3rd 2022) the tire pressure sensor light has come on despite air pressure being adequate in all 4 tires, took car to a collision specialist and they repaired cosmetic damages but cleared 3 codes and did not repair/resolve any of the actual issues affecting drivability and safety because they could not attribute it to the mechanism of accident, took the print out of codes in to my normal mechanic when I got the tires and oil changed June 3rd 2022 and he said if there were no active codes I would have to take it to the dealership, yesterday June 24th 2022 while waiting for a light to change the car pedals suddenly stopped working, car stayed idling at a stop while still in drive, would not work even when shifted into park, drive, or reverse, air still blowed, music still playing, a horrid smell started to fill the car, turned everything completely off and turned hazards on and waited for 2 minutes then turned the car back, car resumed working with tire pressure light still on and smell still coming out of engine. Car now smells constantly of putrid burning plastic/carpet and stumbles frequently, had the car stumbled while at a high rate of speed during rush hour, both mine, my infant son, and the other drivers lives' could've been devastated or lost. I have a 2011 Ford eacape.... we lost power steering 2-3 years ago in my car while driving on twisty hilly roads in ithica, NY on way to get our 3 young grandchildren and thank god it was my husband driving because I probably would have been in a serious accident... tons of cars recalled... same make, same model, same year and made at same plant in Kansas!!!!! but Ford never recalled mu VIN#..... we were stranded there and lost time from work!!!! we took it to 3 Ford dealers with no help!!! wanting almost $2,400!!!!! lost time from work getting it fixed which took over 3weeks and finally our mechanic found the part!!!! power steering column!!!! how with 1,000S of complaints is mine not covered!!!! it's the steering column!!!! it's not like it's a muffler!!!! now after paying to get it fixed !!!! I have since given this to my 18 year old daughter for her senior year and she lost power steering almost sending her into head on traffic!!!!! my daughter almost got killed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and yes we were told its the god [xxx] steering column again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what do I have to so to go after Ford for this serious issue!!!!!! they make billions and billions of dollars selling faulty, dangerous cars!!!!!!! and are allowed over and over and over again to get away with it!!!!!! they know full well that there is a serious issue and should have recalled all of the 2011 Escapes to get that part fixed!!!!!! all!!!! when are you or somebody going to put a stop to this [xxx]!!!!!!!!! almost exactly 3 years to the day of when this happened before!!!! now I have to wait again to find a part, pay tons of money again!!! and thank god my daughter didn't get hurt!!!!! parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

When the vehicle is rolling, the right tire locks up and starts smoking, this happens all the time. Mechanic cannot find it to fix it if fixable and not a recall? I am driving city streets (in Virginia-suburbia.

Power steering just randomly went out while driving. I know previously there was a recall for this, however I've only had the car a couple years and it's just now a problem. If I turn the car completely off and restart it starts working again. Also, there was a recall for a front bearing part, I'm having issues there as well. Front right.

First power door locks quit working, next tail gate won't open, tire pressure dash light warning comes on yet there are no problems. Check motor dash light goes on and off often yet they find no problem. Latest is power steering went out with no warning while driving again plugged into checking machine no problem. Steering wheel shakes continuously while stopped. And believe suspension is giving out. Not a car that I would recommend to anyone. Has horrible blind spots. All occurrences happen while driving or stationary. All this has happened in the life of our ownership. Steering was yesterday Feb 26,2020

I have only owned my pre-owned vehicle for 3 years and have had to replace driver side front bearing 2X's, rear wiper motor twice and now vehicle will stall while in motion and at stops for traffic lights. I have always driven Ford and feel that this is something with the assembly line because I learned of another from the same assembly line that had the same problems.

Purchased and had mounted (4) Goodyear assurance tripletred on or about 15apr2015 by Ford dealer. 90,000 mile maintenance, including routine tire rotation, was completed by same dealer 24jun2016. No damage or defects were noted by dealer at that time. On 02jul2016, while driving on interstate at approximately 65 mph, I noticed the low air pressure light come on and slowed my speed to 60 mph. Within a few miles, I heard a thumping noise of a flat tire and pulled off onto the shoulder and awaited road assistance from aaa. Aaa inspected the tire and saw no damage other than the sidewalls had blown, suspected to be defective. I took the defective tire to the Ford dealer on 05jul2016 who also inspected the tire and found no damage. The dealer kept the defective tire and I am awaiting further instruction from the dealer who has filed a report with Goodyear. These Goodyear tires had approximately 20,000 miles when this happened. I do not feel safe and fear continuing to drive on the three remaining Goodyear assurance tripletred tires.
