Summary
SOME 2013-2017 ESCAPE VEHICLES BUILT ON OR BEFORE 28-FEB-2017 MAY EXHIBIT A NOISE AND/OR VIBRATION FROM THE CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER MOTOR WITH OR WITHOUT A LACK OF AIRFLOW FROM PANEL REGISTERS AND MAY ALSO HAVE AN ODOR. THIS CONCERN MAY BE DUE TO SMALL ANIMALS THAT CAN ENTER THE BLOWER MOTOR HOUSING AREA THROUGH THE AIR INLET DUCT AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIR INLET DUCT ASSEMBLY AND/OR BLOWER MOTOR ASSEMBLY. THE SMALL ANIMALS MAY DEPOSIT FOREIGN MATERIAL IN THE BLOWER MOTOR ASSEMBLY AND AIR INLET HOUSING THAT MAY CAUSE LACK OF AIRFLOW, NOISE AND/OR VIBRATION. FOLLOW THE SERVICE PROCEDURE STEPS TO CORRECT THE CONDITION.
