So we started noticing this pulsation a few months back when the vehicle had about 26k on it (about 27 months into our ownership)... To me, a mechanic from a previous period, I started thinking I must have a warped rotor. I looked on line and noticed others had this problem and some found satisfaction with the Dealer getting involved but most not getting any help. So, I started looking into the cost of parts. I chose to install a new 4 rotor/pad kit from PowerStop.
When I installed the fronts, I noticed the rotors were really rusty, but they were not bad! The rears were an entirely different story. As the pictures show (which I uploaded), the rear rotors had begun to actually de-laminate. There were areas on the rotor where material actually had fallen off. I was planning to keep these and just reface them myself but now, I'm keeping these as proof of defective products.
In fairness to the Dealer, my wife had just received service on this vehicle a few weeks back on June 22, 2019. The dealer report says our brakes may require further attention. With only 28k miles on it then, maybe it would have been covered under the 3/36 bumper to bumper, and maybe not... But, now it's fixed and doesn't have those crap OEM rear rotors .
