I drove my my 2018 Ford Escape to work with nothing wrong, then went out for lunch and started it and a pop up came up and said engine is hot turn off engine. I did carefully, with a temp gauge at H. And now it is 30 degrees outside and I have not drove it since this morning. Nothing underneath vehicle that is showing it is leaking, so where did the antifreeze go? So I called service and they said to drive it there and they will look at it.
Well, it could not make it and we had to call a tow. Mind you, this is a lease vehicle with 20,375 miles - I've only had this a year in October 2018. I call for a rental car or loaner car - oh no, we have no car for you. I lease a car and I have no means to get back and forth to work, this car is not even mine - it's not bought yet!!!
I called Ford and try to get better assistance and so far they do not know what is going on with the vehicle. They said I would have to wait and see. This is now my fourth day and no one has contacted me. THIS IS FORD'S ISSUE, NOT MINE, what the hell. Well, if the technicians would go on line they would find a Bulletin not recall but a BULLETIN stating problems with antifreeze going into engine and freezing up motor - WOW I found this, maybe this should be a RECALL????
