Loved this truck, but the repair bills have been endless with different dealerships singing different songs of what is wrong and how it was repaired. Have spent over $10,000.00 in the last year or so with repairs and now they say it needs a whole new engine. Everything from timing chains to head gaskets have been replaced. Latest mechanic says the turbo is blown, broke into fragments which caused further damage. Oil spewing all over.
Who else is experiencing this? Problems started around 168,000 miles. We are high mileage drivers so I'm guessing we are WAY ahead of the recalls. Been told that Lincoln also has this problem.
Ford needs to get their act together and look into the engine. Never had a Ford engine fail this early in life.
If you have an F150, sell it BEFORE you get to 130,000 miles. If you're buying one, be sure the mileage is low. Better yet, skip the turbo.
